ANGELINA RANSON
VICE PRINCIPAL - LEARNING & TEACHING
As we close the chapter on 2024, it is with immense pride and gratitude that we reflect on the incredible academic growth and achievements of our Padua College community. This year has been marked by transformation, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, shaping a brighter future for all Paduans.
At the heart of our success lies the generosity and stewardship of the Learning & Teaching Executive. Their visionary leadership has challenged us to rethink and refine our practices, driving innovation that paves the way for an exciting new educational landscape. Their commitment to fostering meaningful change has ensured that every Paduan student has the opportunity to thrive in an environment of excellence and creativity.
We also celebrate the courageous and lion-hearted efforts of our Learning Area Leaders (LALs). These remarkable professionals have not only steered and steadied their respective teams through a year of challenges—including new curriculum designs, mandated processes, and staffing trials—but have done so with steadfast dedication and care. Their resilience, leadership, and passion for teaching have nurtured their teams and ensured that every student remains at the centre of their efforts. I could not be prouder to lead such an inspiring group of individuals who continuously strive to create a better future for every Paduan student.
As we look to 2025, we also pause to acknowledge and farewell members of our academic staff who leave Padua for new beginnings. We are grateful for the impact you have had on our community and the lives you have shaped during your time here. Padua College will always consider you part of its rich 126-year tapestry—a legacy woven with dedication, passion, and a shared love of learning. Wherever your path may lead, know that you carry with you the enduring spirit of our college.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to elevate our achievements to new heights. With the rollout of Formative Assessment/Continuous Reporting by leveraging our current Learning Management System more efficiently, the continued integration of High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) that is aligned to the Vision for Instruction Statement (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools), and a focus on student agency and innovation, we are poised to inspire and challenge our students like never before.
As we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of 2024, we step boldly into the future, united by our shared commitment to excellence, passion for teaching, and belief in the transformative power of education. Together, we will continue to ignite hearts and minds, creating a legacy of growth, discovery, and success for generations to come.
Congratulations to each respective Year Dux of Whole College:
