We are delighted to present the outstanding creations of our 2024 Year 12 VCE Design Technology students. Their abilities and progress are clearly showcased in their work. The students exhibited an incredible spirit of teamwork and mutual encouragement, creating an environment where everyone could excel. It has been a genuine pleasure to teach these talented individuals and witness their growth, not only as designers but as supportive peers. The camaraderie and collaborative spirit they demonstrated are a testament to their character and potential. As they embark on their future endeavours, we extend our heartfelt best wishes to each of them.

Technology Learning Leader (Systems, Computing, DDT, Wood)
During the course of this year doing Product Design and Technology – Textiles, I discovered a passion for design that has blossomed. Under the guidance of Miss Parker, our classroom was transformed into a vibrant and creative space, where each of us explored our own unique styles. With much laughter, our class supported each other through the challenges in design and celebrated each other’s success, whilst together we created beauty from page to fabric. Not only did I enhance my skills, but I also deepened my appreciation for the fashion world and the true artistry behind it. Although our textiles journey through school has ended, our careers in fashion design have only just begun.
Billie McPherson, Year 12 Francis
Superheroes, villains, Pixar personalities, childhood idols, and a colourful collection of other characters from the Class of 2024 gathered on Tuesday 22 October for an action-packed morning of awards, bush dancing and African drumming to celebrate their final day of school.
As we approach Remembrance Day, Padua College is honoured to showcase a special exhibition dedicated to our Defence Force families, staff, and those who have served our country. This display features photos, memorabilia, and stories contributed by both students and staff, creating a heartfelt tribute to the resilience, courage, and commitment of our Defence community. A special mention to the Sovereign Hill Museum Association for generously loaning a World War II Memorial Box, adding depth and historical significance to our exhibition. We invite our Padua community to visit the display and reflect on the service and sacrifices of those who have protected our nation.
Mole Day is celebrated annually on 23 October (from 6:02am to 6:02pm) and commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10²³), which is a basic measuring unit in Chemistry. Mole Day was observed at our Senior Campus with the presentation of the annual Avogadro Award to our top Year 11 Chemistry students and we congratulate Emma Welsh and Max Barrette, joint winners of the 2024 Avogadro Award.
