Students and staff have returned to school for Term 2 with much enthusiasm for what promises to be another fulfilling and engaging Term.
The Term commenced for staff on Monday 15 April with a Staff Professional Learning Day followed by the second Progress Report Writing session for the year on Tuesday 16 April. I thank staff and parents for their participation in these interviews which I know are much valued by parents and students.
Last week all staff and students were involved in ANZAC Liturgies across the College. My thanks to the staff members who led these liturgies and especially to the Year 12 Catholic Action Program class for leading the College liturgy on Tuesday morning. Our thanks to students and staff who represented the College at various services across the Peninsula.

A number of Padua College students have now been selected to compete in the Victorian School Associations Competition Swimming Carnival next Monday 6 May.
As has been publicised over social media over the last week, last Friday I was delighted to officially announce the partnership of Padua College with the Liverpool Football Club International Academy (LFC IA). This has come about following two years of investigation and consultation and we are so pleased to have entered into this partnership with an organisation whose values so closely align with our own.
This partnership is not merely about sports or extracurricular activities; it heralds a new chapter in our commitment to providing our students with diverse opportunities for growth, development, and fulfilment. At the heart of this collaboration lies the alignment between the values of the Liverpool Football Club International Academy and the mission and vision of Padua College. It embodies the convergence of shared values, aspirations, and visions.
The program will commence with an elective option for our Year 7 and 8 students at each of the campuses in the Padua Capability Units in Semester 2, as well as the option for Padua College students and members of our local community to participate in afterschool and holiday programs, this collaboration will offer a comprehensive platform for our students to explore their potential and pursue their passions.
We look forward with anticipation to the roll-out and development of this program.
Year 9 students have participated in the first of our Aspire9 Focus Weeks for 2024 seeing students involved in either an outdoor adventure camp or a city experience. These camps are a valued component of the Aspire9 program and I thank the Director of Aspire9, Mr Mark De Fazio, along with the Aspire9 Campus Co-ordinators: Mrs Charlene Smith, Mrs Andrea Cummins and Mrs Chelsea Holmes, along with Ms Bec Seal and all staff involved in attending these camps.
