On Monday afternoon, Padua College faced Peninsula Grammar in a highly competitive practice match. Both teams displayed great skill and sportsmanship, making for an exciting contest.
The game remained close throughout, with strong performances from both sides. Padua showed excellent teamwork and determination, applying consistent pressure across the ground. However, Peninsula managed to edge ahead in the final moments, securing a narrow six-point victory.
Despite the result, it was a highly positive experience for all involved. The match provided valuable preparation for the season ahead, and both teams should be proud of their efforts.
Well done to all players and coaches for a great game!

What a fantastic day we had at the Swimming Carnival! With the sun shining bright at a lovely 26 degrees, the atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to go have some fun and get those house points.
A huge congratulations to the McCormack (Red House), who dominated the day! Their energy and spirit was absolutely incredible. It was also super exciting to be able to see them show off their hard work and determination. The highlight of the day? The pool was packed with awesome people and enthusiastic supporters cheering on from the sidelines. Not just the students joined in on the fun though, many teachers also joined the action, diving into the pool and showing us their best! Their involvement was incredible and we thank them very much.
Here are the final points scores:
With a special mention to Ava Rogers and Thomas Rosler-Scott for being the fastest swimmers on our campus.

This term, the Year 9 boys had an exciting cricket season at the Tyabb campus. Despite the fact that we didn’t win any matches, the experience was incredibly enjoyable for everyone involved. Each player showed noticeable improvement, both individually and as a team. We shared plenty of memorable moments on the pitch and developed our skills along the way. Ultimately, it was a great term filled with laughter and teamwork.
Riley Rushby, McCormack
The Year 9 girls volleyball team played five games and only won one of them. The last game we played against Bayside, we fought hard to almost beat them! They hadn’t lost a set over five weeks.
Well done to all players.

Friday the 14th of March saw round 1 of the Interschool Show Jumping at Boneo Park. Several riders from Padua competed, including Grace Hamilton (Year 9 Kolbe), Issac Staley (Year 9 Geoghegan) and Charlotte Marden (Year 7 McCormack). Competing for the first time in Progressive 95cm class, Grace finished in the middle of a very competitive field of 60 riders, despite losing her stirrups part way through the round. Well done for your perseverance Grace! From all accounts, our Padua team members put in 110% on the day. Well done to all of you.
On 22 March Claudia Lewis (Year 11, Djeembana) had a very rewarding experience at the interschool dressage competition at Elmore coming a very respectable 6th place overall. Wonderful result! What a talented and dedicated team of riders we have at Padua.
