Stephen Veneris
Thank you to all our students and families for what has been a very successful Term 1 for 2025. Our students have certainly embraced the full flourishing life of Padua College. Indeed, in John’s Gospel Jesus directs us to live our lives in this way, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10: 10.
Reminders:
Could I please ask parents to access Main Reception (Not Coolock Reception) should you require a face to face meeting with Year 7-9 Campus Staff member, or to drop off any materials your son or daughter may have forgotten. This is due to Child Safe requirements we must have parents signing in via appropriate channels. Thank you for your support in this space.
Winter Uniform is required for all students from May 1st, please ensure uniform as per College Student Organiser is in place for the changeover date.
This year Anzac Day falls in the 1st week of Term 2. Please be aware we will have Senior Campus student leaders assisting with the laying of the wreath and other duties. I invite all students on the Mornington Junior Campus to represent the College by marching under our Padua College banner to commemorate this significant day on our National calendar. Please keep an eye out for more information early next term.
Our Year 7 students have returned from Camp at Bayview Adventure Camp in Grantville and have had a great opportunity to be with the other student members in their House as well as getting to know their House Coordinator and a number of other staff.
Student were able to participate in High Ropes Course, Leap of Faith, Colour Run, Kayaking, Trivia Night and House Liturgy and other fun activities.
Sincere thank you to all staff who gave up time away from their own families as well as commendation to our Year 9 Leaders who ran a number of activities.
Particular thanks to Ms Rebecca Haas and Mrs Jodie Williams, Assistant Heads of Campus – Student Wellbeing and Growth, along with each of the Year 7-9 House Coordinator Team, Mr Sean Egan, Mrs Kate de Lacy, Mrs Josie Luppino, Mr Josh Probyn-Smith, Ms Anne Marie Furness, Mr Matthew Price, Ms Kate Swift and Mr Barry Howle who each led their respective camp Groups. All reports indicate that the Camps were an opportunity for growth and a step along the road that we each must take as we move into and through the teenage years.
Please enjoy some photos below.
Wishing you continued blessings,
