Year 12
During term one we have been meeting with all our Year 12 students to discuss their plans for the future, study options, back-up plans and adjustments and supports available that can assist them in accessing courses. If students have not yet made an appointment, we strongly encourage them to book, as we can often provide alternative course or pathways of which students may not be aware.
Year 10
Our Year 10 Applied Learning Program (ALP) students are heading out on work experience for the last week of this term. We cannot wait to hear all about their on-site experiences. Year 10s who are not in ALP will have the opportunity to complete some work experience in term four this year.
Year 9
Our Year 9 students began their Work Ready Program through Aspire9 this term. Focussing on resume writing, applying for jobs, and skills they currently have and how those can be applied to certain industries. Hopefully, their visits to TAFE’s and Universities in term two during the camp weeks provide inspiration for the possibilities available in the future.
Information Sessions
During term two, a range of information sessions will be offered to senior students to increase their awareness of the career opportunities available. We will also have optional interviews for all Year 11 students, and will be working with the Year 10 students in the lead up to subject selection.
We encourage all students to keep an eye on the daily notices as we are advertising a range of tertiary information sessions and tours being run by our local universities. For parents, more information can be found at:
