STEPHEN VENERIS
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL | HEAD OF THE YEAR 7-9 CAMPUS
Our first few weeks back have been filled with energy and action with all our students getting to know each other in their new classes, with new teachers and then of course school photos, Opening Mass, House Welcome Evening, Aspire 9 Launch and our House Swimming Carnival. Well done to Mr Egan and Sebastian House!
A key highlight has been the official Opening and Blessing of the Year 7 & 8 Coolock Learning Centre. We were fortunate to have Bishop Tony Ireland with us, as well as many other dignitaries. The new building is now in full operation, and we look forward to making it a space in which our young people can learn and grow for many years to come.

Our North Star
We want every person to:
Recognise and utilise their God given talents;
Be the best they can be; and
Make a positive impact on their world.
My sincere hope and prayer is that each child in the Mornington 7-9 Campus is able to aim for their North Star and make a positive impact on their world in 2024.
Wishing you all continued blessings,
We are so proud of our Respectful Relationship Student Leaders Fyonn Munro and Yasmine McCoy who hosted a warm and engaging welcome session for our new Year 7 students at Padua College. They introduced them to our student-led program that fosters a culture of respect and inclusion in our school community.
Year 7s were invited to share their thoughts and feelings on some important questions, such as:
- How do you want to feel at school?
- What does your best self look like?
- What are some of your core values?
- When do you feel valued and respected?
The responses were amazing and inspiring. Some of the words that came up were: happy, safe, respected, inspired, confident, healthy, kindness, resilience, honesty, listened to, and included.
These are the qualities that we want to nurture and celebrate in our students. We are so excited to have these wonderful young people join our Padua family and we look forward to supporting them in their learning journey.
