Padua College is served by three library resource centres. The purpose of our Library is to support the reading, resource and information needs of students, staff and our College community.
The Library team works with junior and senior students to ensure they develop solid and discerning skills in gathering and assessing information, digital citizenship and literacy development. These skills are essential to their success in the classroom and the online world.
A lifelong love of reading and learning is fostered through Library programs such as the RED (Read Every Day) Program in Years 7 and 8, lunchtime literature groups and an extensive collection of both fiction and non-fiction books.
The Library also manages the College’s audio-visual resources, providing teachers and students with access to AV equipment and to online resources, such as Clickview.
The Library at each campus has spaces dedicated to reading, learning and studying, both for classes and for individual students. This all takes place in an open-plan environment. Our inter-campus loan system gives extensive access to resources for all library users.
The Padua Library homepage provides students with access to a comprehensive collection of resources including databases and encyclopedias for research, access to eBooks and audiobooks, the Library catalogue, and subject guides.
Located at the heart of the school, the Mary MacKillop Resource Centre is a well-appointed and dynamic space that is always well utilised and designed to support contemporary learning.
