After research and consultation with students, teachers, learning leaders, industry and education leaders, the following laptop models have been selected for use by Year 7-9 students:
Please note students are unable to use Android tablets, iPads and Google Chromebooks as their College devices.
We strongly encourage parents to shop around when buying these prescribed devices, to find the best price and to see whether any of these three models are on sale. We strongly suggest that when purchasing your device you also get a three year accidental insurance coverage for the device, from either the computer retailer or your insurance company.
We have set up a shortcut for parents with EduNet and JB HIFI. To be fully transparent, Padua does not endorse these companies, it does not get a commission from these companies, nor do we receive any benefits from this informal arrangement. Please shop at any retailer to find the best solution for your child and family.
To review and possibly purchase devices, please visit the following websites for Padua’s families:

Please note that no retailer can speak on behalf of Padua College, and any questions regarding prescribed devices should be directed to the school.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the school via helpdesk@padua.vic.edu.au or phone Contact Us
The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program at Padua remains unchanged. That is, students can use any device to do work at the College excluding mobile phones, Android tablets, iPads and Google Chromebooks devices.
Whilst not mandatory, if you choose to purchase a new laptop we do recommend that students purchase one of the devices listed above including three-year accidental coverage protection.
